Original Conception of the Trail’s Elements
First Idea of how the trail could be broken up visually
The other senses being informed by what is seen.
To fully conceptualize this experience, I thought the viewer needed to be prompted by every sense.
I wanted their experience to reflect a Mountain...
With expression at the Peak.
I organized a drive to reflect this linear design.
However, when creating my final expression, I realized a circle would reflect this process more accurately.
I felt that if both the viewer and I were to apply our interpretations of the prompts, this system could manifest itself into something more whole.
While researching I found 8 areas with especially strong positive and negative sensory experiences that viewers could interact with.
Prompt example -
One of my critiques was to add more prompts so I expanded to 32.
The prompts were organized in separate Google Docs in the original drive with a few images, but I wanted viewers to be able to explore the locations I chose on their own. I created the interactive map so viewers could look closely at the locations and have a better understanding of how the trail inspired the prompts that I wrote.

Current prompt setup -
Each sense now has 8 locations/prompts.
